1981 Edmunds “Casey Special” Midget

Midget driver John Casey purchased this beautiful car from veteran open wheel racecar builder and former Indy 500 competitor, Don Edmunds. Unfortunately, after only the first few laps of its competitive career, the car suffered a driveline failure and was never driven again.

Afterwards, the car was stored away for many years until it was sold to noted author and car enthusiast Brock Yates. It was then purchased by Ray Evernham, still having only been driven just a few laps, and resides in his Mooresville, NC museum.
