Eddie Bohn

Eddie Bohn’s abilities with a car and set of tools has been described to fall somewhere between that of McGyver and Martha Stewart. If it has an engine and wheels, he can build it, fix it, and even race it.

Eddie first met Ray when they began racing Sportsmans together in New Jersey during the late ‘70s. They continued their relationship as they moved up to racing modifieds in the ‘80s. Ray lived about a mile away from where Eddie worked and they would often run into each other at the same junkyard looking for parts to build their race cars.

Some of Eddie’s most notable racing accomplishments over the years include:

  • 1978 Sportsman points champion at Wall Stadium (won 11 of 24 races)
  • 1992 and 1996 modified champion at Wall Stadium
  • 5-time Turkey Derby winner (last and most competitive race of the year at Wall Stadium)
  • Winner of more than 80 feature events between Wall Stadium, New Egypt Speedway, Evergreen Raceway, and Atlantic City Speedway
  • Only person to win a modified feature at New Egypt Speedway before and after its transformation from asphalt to dirt

After selling Evernham Motorsports, Ray needed someone he trusted to help take his passion for cars to the next level. He called on Eddie to head up the transformation of a newly acquired office space into the home for one of the finest automobile collections in the United States. Eddie continues to serve as the REE shop manager and is the leader on all restoration and build projects for AmeriCarna.
