Thanks to some 5,000 car lovers and over 400 cars who turned out for the “AmeriCarna LIVE” Car Show featuring celebrity cars as well as classic, custom, and collector cars on the Ingersoll Rand North American Headquarters and Corporate Center in Davidson, N.C. recently, IGNITE will receive a donation of $115,000 to help continue its efforts to serve young adults with high functioning autism (HFA) or Asperger’s Syndrome (AS).
IGNITE, an innovative community center in Davidson, offers activities, skills training, and educational workshops that foster social, financial, educational, and employment independence for its members.
Presented by Ingersoll Rand and MSC Industrial Supply Co. and hosted by Ray Evernham, former NASCAR® championship crew chief, star of “AmeriCarna” on Velocity and founder of IGNITE, the third annual “AmeriCarna LIVE” car show attracted auto enthusiasts and some of Evernham’s NASCAR friends.
“It’s an honor to be able to work with my NASCAR friends and welcome all of the car lovers who came out for the event,” said Evernham. “Not only did we have a great turnout, incredible weather and amazing cars, we were able to raise funds to help young adults with autism or Asperger’s continue to enhance their lives. Car people are incredibly generous when it comes to charity.”
